Thanks to this donation from SaskMilk and Saputo, we’ve been able to fill our food hampers with 25,000 L of 2% milk, feeding our neighbours locally sourced, nutritious food choices.
Food insecurity is a serious health problem in Canada. It is linked to poor health, and is a barrier to psychological, social, and emotional well-being. In Saskatchewan, more than one in ten households and 19 per cent of children experience food insecurity.
